Undecided Voters

I took this all from One Baby One Vote.

QUESTIONS FOR PRO-LIFE, UNDECIDED VOTERS

QUESTION ONE: Isn’t Obama’s position on abortion reasonable and balanced? ANSWER ONE: Obama ALWAYS votes against ALL measures restricting abortion — in ALL 9 months, including support of partial birth abortion. He voted four times to allow babies born alive in botched abortions to die.

QUESTION TWO: How much difference would McCain really make on abortion?
ANSWER TWO: Dramatic difference. He has promised to appoint Supreme Court justices like John Roberts and Samuel Alito, who have already issued strong rulings restricting abortion.

QUESTION THREE: How much difference would Obama really make on abortion?
ANSWER THREE: Dramatic effect. Obama promised that, "The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act," immediately eliminating over 500 abortion restrictions passed by the 50 states

QUESTION FOUR: Where do they both stand on abortion and when a baby is entitled to human rights? ANSWER FOUR: McCain — "at conception." Obama — "That’s above my pay grade."

QUESTION FIVE: Is there anything about our economy, healthcare, education, or national security that is more important than deciding who gets to live?

ANSWER FIVE: No. There are many important issues to weigh but there are some that are simply more important and have more dire consequences to society and our nation.

QUESTION SIX: Isn’t it pro-life to support a candidate who takes a stance against war? ANSWER SIX: Pope John Paul II was against war, and against the war in Iraq, but he insisted that we must all be unconditionally pro-life, and would never have encouraged voting for a pro-abortion candidate under any circumstances. No war has equaled the number of lives sacrificed to the abortion holocaust (almost one billion worldwide).

QUESTION SEVEN: What about poor mothers and their babies? Who will do more for them?
ANSWER SEVEN: Pro-life organizations serve these moms and babies tirelessly. The second victim in any abortion is the mother, and a disproportionately high amount of abortions are performed on poor women. These issues are not separate and BOTH must addressed simultaneously. We can’t help these children if they die first. We must provide poor women with better choices.

QUESTION EIGHT: With no good choice in this election, why not just sit this one out?
ANSWER EIGHT: In the last presidential election, only 3 million votes made the difference. If you are pro life, and don’t vote, you will be complicit when/if Obama gets to inflict his pro abortion plans on the babies whose lives hang in the balance.

QUESTION NINE: Does voting really matter? Did abortions go down under President Bush? ANSWER NINE: YES. President Bush has been a staunch, unwavering advocate for life — on the state & national level

QUESTION TEN: How can I find out where other state candidates stand on the unborn so I can vote for life?
ANSWER TEN: http://www.lifenews.com/2008prolifevotersguide.html

"Barack Obama is THE MOST EXTREME PRO-ABORTION CANDIDATE EVER to seek the office of President of the United States. Indeed, he is the most extreme pro-abortion legislator ever to serve in either house of the United States Congress."
(Dr. Robert P. George, Princeton University) http://www.winst.org/publicdiscourse/index.php

"Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of human rights - the right to health, to home, to work, to family, to culture—is false and illusory if the right to life, the most basic and fundamental right, is not defended with maximum determination." Pope John Paul II

FACTS
1/6 of the current US population has been killed by abortion.
1/6 of the population of the world population has been killed by abortion.
43% of all US women will have an abortion by the age of 45!
Every 25 seconds a baby is murdered in this country!
Daily: 3,500 Americans are killed by abortion, about the same number killed on 9/11 and in the Iraq war.

If you've had an abortion God loves you very much and we love you very much and we in the pro-life movement want to help you.

Wow. I just watched the www.durarealidad.com . I am crying & I really hope that I can sleep tonight with all the images of those without a voice racing through my mind. Tomorrow will be important. May God have Mercy on us.

Looking at the staggering statistics of how many unborn children are murdered daily makes me sick. Our country went crazy over 9/11, but we stand silent over those who have their RIGHTS taken away from them every day, when their lives are ended.

I am a part of the movement. I am raising my children to be a part of the movement. When my Mom was raped at 17 and gave her baby up for adoption, she testified to the movement.

ROCK ON . This post says it all.

This is valid information. The problem is that we as Christians CANNOT vote simply based upon the candidates stance on abortion. I wish we could, but, it would be unwise.

WWJD? I think we all know the answer.

As Christians it is solely our responsiblity before the Lord to defend the lives of the unborn. That is exactly what Jesus would do. We can not overlook a candidates views on the right to life without having grave moral consequences. And yes...we can vote based upon a candidate's views on abortion.

Sara--thank you for your posts.

As a christian, abortion is a very important issue. It is the most important to me, however, not the only one. I am voting for McCain because I think he can handle this financial and economic crisis we are in. If people would remember all that this great nation has been through under President Bush (but they don't). Sure, it'd be great to place the blame on him but the fact of the matter is that the Democrats have had control of the house and senate for the past two years and although Sen. McCain was warning of Fanny & Freddy the democrats chose to do nothing. You see it was McCain that had the forsight, not Obama.
President Bush has had to deal with Enron, the .com bubble bursting, 9/11, war in Iraq, establishing Homeland security, terror like our country has never seen before and for some reason the economy is all his fault? He has wanted to drill for oil to ease the burden on the american people and who has stopped him? The democrats in the house and senate. Of coasrse now they are saying the same thing too but the media would never report on that. And did I forget to mention that he also inherited a recession upon entnering the White House? How can the american people forget all of this.
This doesn't even touch the subject of Obama's inexperience. McCain has said all along that he will pull the troups out when the commanders on the ground say that we can. Obama has gone from pulling them out immediately, to phasing them out to now agreeing with what McCain has said all along. Obama also says he is going to tax anyone making over $250,000. Then he said $200,000. Now Biden was saying anyone making over $150,000. Which is it? The issue has to do with experience. He also voted for infanticide no matter how he finesses his words to make it sound like what he did was the right thing, he still voted for it because that is what some board recommended. I would prefer a leader that can make decisions with common sense and good judgement. Obama is untested and weak on the issues. Although the media would like to distract you with Sarah Palins experience the fact is she is still more experienced the the presidential nominee himself. Yes, she is not a word smith nor is she politically savvy but I would prefer that over someone who just tries to make you feel good.

Laura, I so appreciated this post. When I go to the polls today, I am going to vote for those who have no voice. And pray for God's mercy on our country!

Abortion is the only issue I look at. I can't imagine voting for a person that thinks it ok to murder these innocent babies! I love how we are call the anti-choice movement. I am not against choice! Everyone has a choice - parent or adoption. Of course, I should mention that there are VERY rare circumstances where termination is needed to save the Mom. I hate it, but have seen it needed and seen the absolute agony that those parents face.

Thanks for your post!
