feeling sick...

I'm having the kids watch the inauguration because of it's impact on the history of our country, but I feel sick. literally sick. I respect that Obama is the ruler that has been placed before me by the Sovereignty of God according to Romans. However, I feel sadness for the sake of the morality of our country, for the future of my children, and the sanctity of human life. I am in constant state of prayer for our country today...please join me!

ME TOO. I get sick of being accused of being negative...that this is history and celebrate. Yeah. No. Morals and values are my number 1 priority-not race. Not good speech givers. Not a man.

I truly am happy for his election's effect on the history of black. I am happy for what this means for my precious son. It is the overarching morality that pains my heart.

I have found myself being accused of being racist with this election and our new president. Its certainly not about race! its about the values and or lack of that the man has. He goes against everything I believe in and thats what has put me on edge with all of the fanfare with him. We didn't watch, we enjoyed a down-day.

Our leader does not define us, and even if the other guy had won we would be no less moral or immoral. We each will tand before the Lord and give account. Don't feel sick. We, as Christians, are to have peace that passes understanding. Our God is bigger than politics, and laws don't make morality. That said, I am happy that my children will grow up seeing a black man in the white house. I am smiling today.

Heather--please don't come on my blog and tell me what I can or can not be feeling. There are times that we can feel incredibly sadden my the implications something will have on our lives. Even Jesus had emotion. Don't misinturpret "a peace that passes all understanding". Did you not read that I said I was happy for his election and the impact it has on black history...and that I am happy for what it means for my son????? And laws do define morality of a country on a large scale. I want the sancity of human life preserved to it's fullest. If the other party would have won it would have been defended more virgorously than what our new president has promised. We shall see.

I'm sorry. I did not mean to upset or offend. Truly, sorry.

Laura, I had the same feeling yesterday. I agree, we need to be in prayer for our President.

Amen sister I am right there sick with you. It has nothing to do with skin color. I have three black kids so no racism here. He is for killing babies, what is there not to be sick about??? Who cares what his skin color is people look at what his heart is...try if you can to look beyond the skin. Is it not racisom to say it is great because he is black and over look the heart? Just because he is black does not make it good.
