15 Hours Later---We are Finally Home!

YAY...we are all together as a family!!!! After numerous flight delays...one missed flight...one episode of crying--from me not Hudson...and I don't know how many bottles...we stepped off the plane last night after 11pm to an airport filled with our friends and family! It was a beautiful expression of love and support towards us. I am so grateful to everyone that had to sit in the airport for over 3 hours waiting for me and the little guy.

I was walking down the hall off the plane and first caught a glimpse of my daughters holding up Welcome Home Hudson Dean signs! There were 15 children that swarmed us as I came through the doors. Cameras were flashing and I was in another world! It all seemed so surreal...we were finally home with this long awaited gift from God to our family. I don't know how long I was gazing at my daughters each taking their turns holding him...they had it all arranged from littlest to oldest to each take their turns. It was so precious! I finally looked up to see all of my family and prayer warriors standing there welcoming us home. My dad took Hudson and led us all in a prayer of thanksgiving for his life! How can ever express how much all of this has meant to me!?!? There are so many of you (IRL and web friends) that have held us up in prayer...you lifted me up when I didn't think I had the energy to go on. Your countless prayers...brought little Hudson into our arms and we are forever grateful! I am completely humbled by your endless support. Our God is a God of modern day miracles...from all of the money coming in, having Hudson placed in our arms, having Courtney to care for us in FL while we waited, to our paperwork coming through miraculously fast. God delights in doing the impossible!!!! It is going to take me awhile to allow it to all soak in, there are so many things that I have been pondering and I can't wait to be able to express them...I just don't have the words right now.

What I do know is this...God is Majestic in all that He does! He is in the every details of our lives! He is Faithful! He is Glorious! All praise and adoration are HIS for this incredible journey of adoption!!!!!!

Your words describe last evening and the journey so perfectly well. Thanks for allowing us to see God glorify himself. What a joyful night in meeting Hudson and welcoming you both home!
I have a great picture of your girls peaking around the corner of the walkway, waiting with anticipation for you and Hudson to de-board the plane. (I was proud of myself for not getting too blubbery so as to not be able to focus on taking pictures. Not that I'm a great photographer but I'm really bad with teary eyes.)
So happy for you all! Yahoooo!!

That was one of the most beautiful things I've experienced. Standing back watching those kids watching each person come by and when they SAW you, it was amazing! I won't forget that for a very long time.

He is beautiful. Perfect. What a blessing to have such a wonderful family, so supportive and so involved in hearing God's call to adopt.

It was a blessing to ME that you allowed me to share in this moment.
Thank you.

I smiled this morning when I was up early with my crew, imagining those big sisters cuddling with their new baby brother.
Congratulations again!
