Ok...so many of you have been asking if I have been getting more sleep, and the answer to that is "Um...not so much!" :) He is still up pretty much every 2 hours. I think a couple of nights ago he may have slept for four hours, but then when I started thinking about it some more...he actually might have been up at his two hour mark and I was just too out-of-it to even remember! Once in awhile he will go to about 3 hours...but he is pretty routine with the two hour need a little somein, somein' routine. I have figured out a better routine with the bottles in the middle of the night. I mix them all up before bed and put them in a cooler. Since my little man isn't picky he will drink them straight from the cooler that sits next to our bed.
At least for now I have a really good excuse for being out-of-it! :)

I know it must be tough....but I would LOVE getting up every 2 hours for my baby!! Glad you are doing well with little sleep though!!
Oh yea...I am Loving it! Hope this post didn't sound like I was complaining!
Didn't sound like complaining at all!
Enjoy your bundle. We sure enjoy the updates and the pics of those awesome cheeks!
Who needs sleep anyway when you have such a handsome little dude to look at?
I just dropped in to visit for the first time (I see that you have another Heather, but I am a "new" one!;) Your family is beautiful. Enjoy your new baby boy!
Laura,
I didn't think you were complaining at all!! As I hope I'm not when my time comes to get my "butt kicked"!! I'm impressed Hudson drinks cold bottles:) Lucky Mama!!!
Hugs,
Sara
ugggg...he has to eat that much to keep up his pound a week record. hang in there, as you know eventually they DO sleep.
I have a little song for you (and Hudson too, I guess!)...sung to the tune of the infamous Vanilla Ice song...
Sleep, Sleep, Baby
Sleep, Sleep, Baby
Yo, get out your bottle and listen, Hudson's back with a cry in the night
He's hungry, no pacifier will do, only milk from the cooler will fill this little tummy...
Well...this song had some potential if I really could only remember how the "Ice, Ice Baby" lyrics and tune really went...
OK...maybe there was no real potential there...just felt like a little rappin' to close out the night!!! :-)
That is the funniest picture I have gotten in my head all day!! For some reason, the idea of you keeping a cooler next to your bed full of bottles cracks me up.... and I'm getting a lot more sleep than you are... not that I'm bragging of course!! I'd NEVER do that! I promise!!!!!!!!!!!!
I say sleep can be over rated. Snuggle away!
I sorta' remember those foggy days with the twins. Every two hours, but that was with two babies Wow Hudson is an eater. Have you had to take a loan out for formula :)
I have an idea! You know those hats that people wear at games. You normally put beer in them. You know what I'm talking about? They look like alien helmets.
You get the idea? Strap on of those bad boys on filled with formula for when Hudson wakes for his somethin somethin,.:)
I know you're loving it and very thankful for your boy, but after 2 hours a stretch it's okay to be a little whiny, you know?
I wonder what my excuse for being a little out of it is? Yesterday I spent 15 minutes looking for my keys, they were in my pocket.
AHH...sleep. We kind of forget what that is in the midst of those "baby days" - or should I say "daze"...
Laura, I am praying that God would provide you with moments of REST when you can catch some rest...and times of REFRESHMENT for you, too!
Jeremiah 31:25
"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint."
Oh my word---you guys crack me up!
Sara--thanks for being impressed with the fact that Little Dude likes cold bottles...I thought it was pretty cool too.
Tracie--Glad you are enjoying the updates. Never know if people are really that interested in how little sleep I am getting. ;)
RockStar's Wife--thanks for thinking he's handsome...I know he has a piece of your heart forever! :)
Heather--thanks for visiting and thinking the fam is beautiful...that's a really nice compliment. I usually just make fun of us.
Trish--one question...do they really sleep? And when is that?
Kristi--Sleep, Sleep Baby...love it! I was even head bopping here in the chair. I love it so much that I might just go shave some lines in my eyebrow...long live Vanilla Ice.
Bets--seriously, you are laughing at me!?!?...that hurts my feelings! Oh no never mind...it doesn't! ;) You know me all too well, my existence is to make people laugh, so if picturing me with my cooler gets a giggle...well, then it was a good day for me! I'm just bummed I wasn't with you to laugh about it together. It's all about survival...you do what you gotta do. So cooler it is!
Tonya--Thanks for agreeing with me that sleep is totally over-rated! Way too much emphasis on sleep nowadays! Come one everyone...set your alarms for every two hours...Just try it! You'll agree sleep is totally over-rated!
6Pack--Umm yea...the formula isn't cheap. I guess I should consider taking out that loan rather than switching the rest of us to beans and rice.
Steffany--Brilliant idea about the beer helmet. Do you have one we could borrow? Maybe I could pad it with some fleecy stuff to make a little pillow for his little head. That or I guess I could just wear it to bed and reach the straws down into his mouth every two hours...now there's an idea!!!! And thanks for keeping it real for all of us ADD "tendency" types about the key hunt. Love it!
Thanks all of you for your support!
Lori--did you say Refreshments...where are they? Count me in! Just ask Kristi to grab a few for me.
k seriously...thanks for the kind words of encouragement!!
(can you tell I am getting giddy...you know how the lack of sleep can do that to me!)
Thanks for the updates! I love your method for having the bottles ready and waiting...very good idea!
Jill
p.s. I tagged you on my blog, so you'll have to blog again, sleepy or not! ;-)
I am going to go WAAAAAY out on a limb here and venture to guess that he's PROBABLY not going to be a picky eater!?!
Hi Laura;
I learned this from a mom I do respite foster care from...use a thermos of warm water...bring your bottles up ...when Hudson wakes, open thermos add the warm water, shake and serve! (sounds like you might need two thermos'!
Kimmie
