Amazing God Story!!!!!--PRAYERS NEEDED

Do you wanna hear a cool God story with adoption!?!? Ok, I'll tell you! Some friends of ours started the adoption process shortly after we started. Originally they were going to adopt from Ethiopia, and then they found out she was pregnant. The international agency would not allow them to continue until after the baby was born. Well a few shorts weeks later they suffered a miscarriage and lost their baby. They went back to the agency but Ethiopia was implementing some family size restrictions. This family had 7 children...so they had to think about a different option. They chose to go with a domestic adoption, knowing that they would only get a placement through an agency pick. It was made very clear that birthmoms don't pick families with lots of kids in them already. They put their profile together and were matched with one situation, however that didn't work out either. Well, God chose to bless them with another pregnancy so they had their profiles pulled until the baby would be born.

Then earlier this summer the phone rang...it was one of their daughters. She called to tell me they were going to adopt a baby. Only God in His Greatness could orchestrate this! One of their profiles was "accidentally" left out...we know it was the Sovereign hand of God. Anyway, this agency called to say that a birth mom had chosen this family. Their social worker called and told them what was happening. They said that it was God and they weren't going to say no to moving forward. So the agency was called back and said the family would move forward, but they were also expecting. The birth mom was informed and allowed to change to a different family. NOPE! She wanted this family...she came from a large family and just really wanted her baby to have that. She didn't mind that they were both due about 3 weeks apart from each other!!!

Well here we are today...and birth mom is in labor. Please, please be praying for her. The family is getting ready to travel to her once the baby has been born and the papers signed. It is getting down to a very tiny window that my friend can still fly home, because of how close it is getting to her due date. I just keep telling them that God has all of the details figured out...because this is a miracle from the very beginning. I am awed by how amazingly God works in placing His children in families. I can't wait to travel to their home and meet both of their new little treasures from the Lord in the coming weeks! Oh and get this...it was my friend's dream to be able to nurse her adopted baby from before they even started their first paperwork. God knew that desire of her heart and is giving them "twins". :)

I will never forget the glee in their daughter's voice as she said, "She picked us for our size!" Not too many big families ever get to hear that. :)

Please pray for everyone involved, the details to all come together, and for this precious birth mom and baby. Follow their blog and leave them some encouraging comments.

*edited to add--URGENT PRAYERS ARE NEEDED--I just spoke with Steph. I ask you to please storm the gates of heaven on behalf of everyone involved in this situation today. Please ask the Lord to move moutains. Pray for His Sovereign will to be made known very clearly today to everyone!
