We serve an Almighty, All-Knowing and Faithful God! He hears our prayers and answers them! Praise the Lord!!!!!
I received a phone call a little after 7am this morning, on the other end was my postmaster informing me that in his hand he had my mailer!!!! AAAaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
Thank you so much for your prayers! The Lord brought forth the mailer and gave me peace yesterday. Today I will scurry around to get everything together to send to the consulate. I have to be honest though...I am tempted to drive to a nearby town and find a FedEx office! :)

Dearest Laura, Our small group prayed for your "paperbaby" last night that you would have PEACE about it and that it would show up! God is in control and everything is in HIS timing. We are so glad that your package was delivered this morning!
Have a great day!
Granny Di
USPS is notorious for losing things...I'm just glad you got it at all! I would totally go to FedEx this time. Even if it means driving a little bit.
Yay for the next step!
Laura, just wanted to let you know that we fedexed our paperwork to the Haitian Consulate and they were delivered to them in 2 days. That same day, 3 hours later they were finished and sent back to us! With all of our papers we also sent a prepaid fedex env so they could be sent back to us easily. I still can't believe how fast we had them back. Praying that yours will be the same.
Granny Di, thanks for the comment! Yay! More importantly, thank you so much for having your group pray. It is the only way we are getting through this! Please tell them how appreciative we are.
Sara, Thanks for the advice about FedEx. If I drive to a different town to drop it off, does that mean that I could buy myself a latte?!? I could bribe myself with coffee anyday. :)
Jamie...what consulate did you use? That is amazing how fast you got it back! I pray the same will happen with us!
Hey Laura, we sent our papers to the Haitian consulate in Chicago.
I will be praying that you get your's back just as fast.
Praise God for a Postmaster that calls at 7:00 a.m.!!!!
What a relief. :o)
HE is faithful!
Dear Laura,
How cool is our God?!!! I was praying for you guys yesterday and to think that God was 1 (or lots more) steps ahead of me! Wow. Can't wait to see what he does with your paperwork you send to the consulate. He is an all knowing, all powerful and always present God!! Love you, Sue (FC "kitchen queen")
I hope it goes quickly for you. I loved handing my dossier to Cate in Haiti in May and knowing my part was done. I did get held up quite a while at the Miami consulate. After four weeks my husband called and they were "just getting ready to do it." I guess the thing is to call after only a couple of weeks if you don't hear.
Right now we are having problems funding our adoption so we could use some serious prayer from anyone.
