YEEEEEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWW..

We did it!!! We finally did it!!! Our dossier is off to Haiti!!! I can't believe it!!! We really actually finally did it!!!!

We drove up to a FedEx office. Matt and I carefully went back over all of the documents. All of a sudden, I realized that our passport size photos were gone. OH NO! Matt said, "I can drive home and look for them." This FedEx office is an hour away from home, so that would be another hour to get home then another hour to come back up to the office. I went out to the car and started praying...sure enough they were right there in between the seats. Thank you, Jesus! So we packaged it all up, took some photos and off it went! We were outside doing our happy dancing, when all of a sudden we realized that we gave it to the lady and we didn't get to pray over it. So Matt went back in and asked if we could have it back for a minute, he brought it out to the car and we all spent time praying over it. (I, of course, had to take a pic while we were praying...it was too precious to see all of the girls hands on that box) It was such a great day! After we left, I was almost immediately hit with this incredible wave of exhaustion. For the rest of the day I was tired but oh so happy! ;)

Now we will pray everyday that our documents pass through the government and the Lord brings our boys home. It is completely out of our hands and in His! He is perfect in all of His ways, so we will keep trusting Him! Will you please join us in praying for our finances to come in? I know I posted about this last time, but now here we are. We have been told that they won't begin processing our dossier until they receive our first payment. I know God has it all figured out, so will you just join us in prayer about this next step of the journey? We appreciate the prayers so much!

Yes, I did the most jumping! I feel like this is one of the biggest accomplishments of my life. Matt had to agree with me that it was huge and he was proud of me! He's so sweet! He did buy me a Caramel Macchiato to celebrate! That was the first coffee I had at the airport after getting back from Haiti...it tasted so good, but I was so sad. So now that drink has special meaning to me...I know I am crazy, but it is a "taste association" thing for me. It is what it is, and I thoroughly enjoyed my celebratory coffee!

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! THANK YOU, JESUS FOR GETTING US TO THIS POINT IN OUR JOURNEY!!!!!!

Hi there,

I have been following your adoption as well as Courtney's families. You are all in my prayers. We are setting out on our journey to adoption through Ethiopia. When I see the wonderful relationships that come from this contact that you all have through your Haiti adoptions, I hope to have the same through our situations. From reading your blogs (yours and Courtney's) I feel that I know you! I am very happy for you. God is SO good!! I love your pictures. They are hilarious!

Okay,

I am back again, because I just had to see these pictures again. They are so adorably funny. Laura, you jumping up and down is killing me.

Love you guys...

By the way, you are going to Haiti with me. That is that.

I am so happy for you. It's not like you guys look excited or anything. God is doing and going to continue to do great things in your lives. It is so evident!! I will pray for your financing and also that you can "kick" the habit of caramel macchiatos (I'm just kidding on that one, the log is in my eye!) Simple pleasures that remind you of your lovely boys! Take care. Love, Sue

Praising God right along with you! Those pictures are fantastic!! Continued prayers for the dossier and your sweet, sweet boys. :o)

We're a few days behind you. ;o) But ours will go to our coordinator in Montana, not directly to Haiti.

P.S. Praise the Lord for Caramel Macchiatos. Bella knows how to order that drink :) It's quite funny coming out of a 3 year old's mouth :)

Okay... as I lay in bed last night I realized that I gave you the wrong celebration link...
I would have gotten up in the middle of the night to fix it...but I am teaching at our VBS this morning and the sleep was needed :-)-

this is our HUGE financial blessing for our adoption -
(I am still amazed!)
