Hotter than Haiti...

Seriously people, it is hotter than Haiti in my house today! Where I am currently sitting it is about 87 degrees...that's inside! Enough about me...let's get onto the rest of you!!!!

I will now address the many comments that we received following our last post! First, thank you all for all of your support. You guys make blogging so much fun!

Courtney, you are welcome to stalk me any day! And I love your new avatar pic...You're Beautiful!!! ;)

Essy, you are such a great cheerleader! Thank you for all of your kind words and support!

Sue...in regards to coffee...I have given up being a coffee snob and am now drinking Folgers. The Caramel Macchiato will be a celebratory drink! In fact, I am learning to love Folgers! Thought that would make you proud!

Justine, glad to see you come out of lurky land and post a comment. I am so excited to see that you will be moving forward in your adoption.

Beth, I am so happy that we are so close in this process. I hope that you had a wonderful "get-away". Your son is so precious! Beth just sent her dossier to Haiti to adopt a sweet little toddler boy.

Kimmie, thank you for the encouragement...sorry that you couldn't fall asleep due to posting the wrong link. Thanks for sharing it and for cheering us on. :)

Shannon, I sure enjoyed some of the articles on your blog. Thanks for posting!

Heather, you know I wasn't a cheerleader, but Matt was. If you look at our form...Matt has me beat! It was all of those long hours in college that he spent cheering for the girls bball team. You should hear him shout! :)

Sara, Matt is a crazy guy and does lots of funny things for our family only! Although, this time he didn't mind me sharing our craziness with the world! The part that we were laughing about is that he is jumping but he forgot to smile while he jumped. He was super happy though! And I love that Bella knows how to order a Macchiato! Super Cute! Btw, where are you in our glorious nation about now? For the rest of you...Sara, Hubby and daughter Bella are traveling the country in a RV run off of vegetable oil.

Heth, I was just thinking about you this morning and wondering if youth pastor's wives can shop at Holister...those days just may be over for you, my dear! ;) Just kidding...you are going to be a fabulous pastor's wife...you already have baking and fashion down pat, and really what else matters?!?! For the rest of you, Heth's hubby just accepted a position as a pastor at their church leaving behind his techy-wonder job. (They'll be great!)

Lori, thanks for visiting...

Cas, thanks for noticing that I do have more hops than Matt! Thanks for the support!

Alas, Brian-Our Rockstar, what do I say...I am speechless in the honor that you have bestowed upon us by your invitation to become managers of your BrianisaRockstar Foundation! You Rock, Dude! Are you still stuck on Rye...or have you found Cinnamon and Raisin bread...please give your taste buds some excitement and try it. For the rest of you...Brian has been eating only bread and water while praying for the money to come in for air conditioners for our orphanage.

Bets, your continued prayers are such an encouragement to me. Thank you so very much! You're so great!

Jess, you are only a couple weeks away! I can't believe it! I can't wait to see photos of your kids in your arms. They are so adorable!!! I can't believe you are this close!!! For the rest of you...Jess is only a couple weeks away from traveling to Ethiopia to get their son and two daughters that they are adopting.

Kristi, thanks for your prayers and support. You always knew I had spring in my step...what are you talking about!?!? ;)

Anonymous...thanks for being a fan. I have been taking some time to spend time with the Lord in this next phase of the process and just wasn't getting any blog posts coming to me. This one's for you!

Kimmie, I am drinking Folgers so I can cut down on what I was spending on coffee. I have a slight passion for coffee!! LOVE IT!!! I used to buy Starbucks coffee beans, but am finding ways to cut back on the frivolous things in life...not coffee all-together, just the snobby-pricey kind that I had grown to love! ;)

You are so funny...

Hotter than Haiti??

Apparently you have not been to south Florida...

Court...you are sitting in A/C typing away on your computer. Seriously it is hotter than Haiti here!!!

Please come visit me and you can experience it for yourself! :)

Do you have a Costco nearby? We're somewhat snobby about coffee too, and have also cut back on a lot of non-essentials. We get huge bags of a fantastic whole bean Jamaican Blue Mountain blend for less than the cheapo stuff at a regular grocery store.

Hope you get some relief from the heat soon. That's one thing I'm looking forward to in Haiti (that and meeting my baby boy)). I'm a little odd in that I love oppressively humid heat. Now cold weather, on the other hand.... ;o)

Okay, I do have A/C. You are right. I am sorry...

Love you!

Speaking of zucchini.....once my mother-in-law made zucchini crisp instead of apple crisp. If you have a lot in your garden you could try it. I guess it was cheaper. But, it really wasn't very good and I wouldn't recommend it. But, since I do have air conditioning you could come to my house and bake it in my oven.

I can't believe you are now drinking "church coffee". A few simple pleasures in life, maybe we can take a special offering for you at church so that you can have the real, potent, good stuff. Your family deserves to have you at your best. Ha! Ha!
Have fun at family camp this weekend! :) Sue or Suzy

oops, I signed in as anonymous and you know that's not true. Then again you may not want to claim me as a friend cuz I'm so crazy! Sue

Sue - have you tried the zucchini crisp in your kitchen? Maybe it would be better with church coffee. Perhaps real whipping cream?

Irma,
I have not tried the zucchini crisp BUT church coffee would make NOTHING better! There is something disturbing about being able to see the bottom of the cup through the coffee. :) Have a nice week. Sue

FOR THE RECORD-- Matt was NOT a cheerleader! I am so mean! :) He doesn't even get up and clap at basketball games. He is all about the skill, the plays, the game...not the cheering!

I just thought that those of you who don't know me and my silly ways of teasing my husband might actually believe that he was a cheerleader...ok, that has me laughing! Anyway, Matt is the most amazing guy ever!!! And I sure do love him!!!!! :)
