I've lost all respect for Charlie Gibson. His attitude, body language, and tone of voice were despicable while interviewing Sarah Palin. (I am referring to the interview on Night Line last night.) I thought she handled herself very well in spite of his demeaning attitude towards her. He couldn't even acknowledge her as a human being, an American mother who just sent her first born son to war that very day to protect his freedom. He couldn't even acknowledge it. He just continued on in his pious barrage of questioning. It's fine with me if we ask all of the candidates the hard questions that need to be asked, but good grief have some class and respect while doing it! Obama gets media coverage of dancing with Ellen, or joking about his grandma and DisneyWorld with David Lettermen...while Sarah Palin gets this. Unbelievable! Please join me in praying for our country during this time. Please, please, please stand firm in prayer through these coming months!

I was very angry with that man, my self. He would never have asked or responded to another man in that fashion at all. I have no respect for him or ABC news at all, haven't had for quite some time. I strictly stick to FoxNews! I will definitely band with you in praying for our country, our leaders and our future leaders. I am angered so that I can't even put into words what I would like. Thank you for taking the time to "take a stand" maybe America should boycott watching Good Morning America and ABC nightly news!!!!
Girl...I hear you. I love Charlie and I was not impressed either. Obama's all celeb on SNL and Palin can't catch a break.
We are all praying for her too, here in Texas. I cannot even watch the news anymore without having to check myself. What a wonderful woman to represent our country! I feel like she represents so many women and they finally can express what "feminism" really means to them. We don't have to agree with Gloria Steinem (sp?), Whoopie, or Rosie to be a strong woman. I am outraged at the way she has been treated and the way they have dragged her family through the mud over the past two weeks. Senator Obama has not had as much scrutiny and he is on the top of their ticket. Anyway, we will join you in this effort. Thanks for going political on us. I have enjoyed the discussion even though I don't post often.
I couldn't agree more with you. I missed last night's interview but watched the interview tonight on 20/20. He was very disrespectful and condescending in his tone. We definitly need to be in prayer for our nation.
I agree. Yuck.
I agree that Gibson's manner wasn't appropriate. BUT, I disagree that Palin would be good for our country. She has consistently shown a lack of morals and ethics. It's a sad day when a potentially promising Presidential candidate picks a VP simply because she is a woman and doesn't check out her background. I be McCain is regretting his decision big time.
may I ask what morals and ethics she has violated? Just curious.
You don't visit my bloggy anymore

Laura, here are the "bits" that ABC edited out. Amazing! When you read the entire interview, she is extremely on target and it shows! Pass it on.
Mindy--I found your comment interesting. I'm not sure what you are referring to. Her morals and ethics are some of the highest in the entire political arena. I do not believe he chose her only because she is a woman.
Laura--thanks for the link.
Court--I have been stopping by your bloggity...I gotch yo back.
I can't stress enough how important it is to pray for our country and our leaders. I have been doing a study on "America at the Crossroads" from Precept (Kay Arthur) and it has opened my eyes wide up to how sinful our nation is.
There is a movement to pray for our country every Thursday at noon. Pray for our country, and the twisted media that seems to be so powerful in leading people astray.
Do you guys not care about the fact that McCain committed adultery? Isn't that a sin? What about the twisted lies in his campaign ads? Isn't lying something we don't do & teach our children not to do?
You know why the media does this to her??? They're scared!!!
Same reason the previous commenter posted ANONYMOUSLY.
I agree 100% with your comments. I have lost my respect for Charlie Gibson, although it shouldn't surprise any of us. If you want to know more, read the Drudge Report and learn more. Keep going Laura.
Well it looks as if Laura had to delete another comment. Not sure why but I assume it's demeanor was inappropriate.
I don't understand why people can't agree to disagree? Why do people have to take such a hateful turn? Is it passion that leads them to their anger? Is it that others don't agree with their beliefs? I find it all fascinating.
And no one touched my McCain question. LOL The adultery is really a big deal to me but I'm finding it's not a big deal to others. I wonder why it's not? I'm just curious! :)
McCain committed aldultery. Hmmm, yes that is true. I have sinned. I am a sinner today, even though I try not to. I am not looking for someone who is perfect. I am looking for someone who represents my morals and values and has the courage to stand for what is right and what is wrong. I am looking for someone who will admit he was wrong. He admitted at Rick Warren's forum that he (McCain) considers the failing of his first marriage his greatest moral failure. His ex-wife has forgiven him. This is public knowleged. She supports him in the campaign. We all make mistakes. Daily. Sometimes hourly. The other candidate cannot even admit he is wrong or has made a mistake about the surge. He was point blank asked, and he could not admit he was wrong.
By the way, the laura who commented on the McCain adultery issue, is not the laura that owns this blog. Just want to make that clear.
adultery spelled backward is yretluda ... and if you think that is messed up, try spellin' anonymous backwards ... c-o-w-a-r-d
Honestly though ... without anonymous ... there would be no reason for me to laugh out loud at 11:14 PM.
Anonymous ... you .... complete... me
sorry anon--if you'd like to engage in a conversation regarding political concerns with me...you'll need to start leaving your name.
rockstar--thanks for making me laugh.
laura--very. well. said. thank you!
Exactly my point. Calling names? Mature. Don't worry - I won't be back. Best wishes everyone! :)
I would like to point out, in my defense, that mature is not often a word associated with me. Nor have I ever claimed to be.
So not only am I a name caller, I am an excuse maker. Oh yeah and I was picked on as a child and I am a pastor's kid.
My mom is so proud of me.
oh brian, you make matt and me laugh.
you're dad is so cool. and yes, i think your mom is proud of you. and mature...that's totally over rated! ;)
I am not sure what there is to be so angry about in regards to how Charlie Gibson interviewed Ms Palin? He asked her pointed questions and she fumbled around with indirect answers.
