all good in the hood

ok...dd seems to be feeling better. still has the cough. the test results have not come back yet. we've started second child on meds...had a bit of a cough and wanted to get it under control before it turns into whooping cough. the deal with whooping cough is to get the meds in soon enough to kill it. therefore...that's what this mamabear is doing.

matt...ok, matt is still in a TON of pain. like to the point that he was taking too much advil. the deal is this man that i love has the highest pain tolerance of anyone i've known. he never gets sick (remember that's why he drinks coke). he never likes to take anything if he ever was feeling a little under the weather. so when he is taking lots of pain meds...i know it is really, really bad. i talked with our pharmacist who also plays ball with matt. he was telling me how awful of a fall it actually was. he thinks matt actually passed out and doesn't remember. matt got up and his eyes were glassed over. but my man is a die hard...so he tried to go on with the game. he didn't finish...that right there folks is a sign of a huge problem. he doesn't quit a game of bball(well, actually any game) EVER.

but on the bright side...i've been filling orders for the Christmas cards. that's been fun. i'm almost done editing my pics from last weeks shoot. i'm feeling good. the other kids are doing well. the one that is sick has been quarantined to upstairs and has been royally enjoying it. she has a laptop, the tv remote, her books and a room all to herself. :) she wanted blue powerade zero and butterscotch pudding...so two of the girls and i went to the store to get our little sickling what she wanted. we got snow last night...and i LOVE snow! and i'm now off to go watch the Office. so yeah...it's all good here in the hood!!!! you know what would make it even better is if you read this, you'd leave a comment. they've been dwindling...and i really like reading your comments. i don't care what you say...you can tell me about your weather...there's just something about knowing people are reading that gives me motivation to continue writing for my little bloggity-blog.

and thanks for your prayers! please keep them up! :)

I get regular updates on your bitter cold weather from my kids there! I do believe, however, that we actually have more snow than you which seems entirely impossible! I love your camera work! Man you really are amazing with that thing. I hope you all get over the cough soon and that Matt gets to feeling better. Has he gone to the dr yet or he is like most men and thinks he can dr it at home???? LOL

Praying for Matt and the rest. Have you started baking your krumkaka yet? I'm holding off for another week...or another year. We cannot tell you how much all of your card designing work means to us. We are so grateful to the Lord for you and all who have donated. Thank you!

It is way colder in ND than NY, BUT we get more snow here. I froze to a snow bank once at SDSU on my way to a class. My eyes froze shut and a man came by and drug me into a building....random huh? Keep writing, you know I love stalking..er..uh...I mean reading your blog.

Laura, I read your blog daily. I don't leave many comments because there are usually so many!!! I know what you mean, though. Sometimes you wonder, "Is anybody out there?" Well, we are. So keep writing. You can check up on our happenings at godscountrywi.blogspot.com. Hope everyone is feeling better soon!

I really hope everyone is feeling better soon. Sounds like your daughter enjoys being sick just a little with a room to herself.

I have tried and failed many times to get any e-mail to you and it tells me that your mail box is unavailable. I sent you payment for the Christmas cards yesterday. I do not know what else to do. I've tried 2 different e-mail address to send from. Please help!

I think you know that I read your blog just about everyday! :) I have not been leaving comments because I didn't have an identity - BUT I just added an account so now I have an identity and can comment! Yah!
Your man is just like his father - his father never has liked to take any medications of any kind. Sorry about that. We will continue to pray for your whole family and for a quick recovery.

Weather - same as yours - snowy. Agenda in our home - sell house (aka have Tour of Home tomorrow, translates to PRAY FOR US). Upcoming pictures - have me obsessed about clothing but hardly being able to wait to DO something with them after they are printed. Your hubby - SO SORRY to hear this! - will pray! Your quarantine kid - so glad I'm not the only mom who does this sort of thing!

There .... that's my comment from my frazzled and tired brain tonight. :) Blessings, Shelly

So it's all about the comments, huh?:)

I'm a self proclaimed comment junkie myself.

Seriously though people, please leave comments when you read blogs. Even if you only say, "cool", or"hi"
They do mean so much:)

Glad that "all is good in the hood" my friend! I have been out of the blogging loop for a bit here (writing on my own blog and checking others), so I have enjoyed having some time to catch up with your family. Those pictures of your girls' eyes are amazing! LOVE them! You are really talented.

Hope that everyone continues to rest up and feeling better soon! Take care!

Poor Matt!!! That is AWFUL!!! My hubby is die-hard too - whenever he breaks out the Excedrin I KNOW it's bad! I prayed for Matt this eve and will keep praying!

I'm so glad the fundraiser is going well. I would have loved to participate but we are not doing Christmas cards this year. Hey, want to design a Chinese New Year card for us?? I wanted to wait to send cards till Owen was home, so we're doing this instead!!!!

I love ya girl!!!

Dude - tell your hubby to stop with the COKE already (and I do hope you mean the brown fizzy kind) and get to the doctor. A man in REAL pain is the worst - so tell him to get his little keester in there and get better.

I love your bloggity blog - you know that! Silly girl.
