Your opinion is really needed on this!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so remember how we held the Encompass Ministries Adoption Awareness Softball Tournament??? We have the opportunity to hold a basketball tournament in February. But here's the catch, the only date available for the facility is Saturday, Feb. 14--Valentine's Day. So here is where you guys come in! If your hubby wanted to play in a bball tournament on Valentine's Day would support him...or hold it against him for the rest of his life? He would be playing bball for a good cause...would that impact your decision or not really?

We really, really need your input on this one! PLEASE let me know your thoughts! Thanks!

Personally I wouldn't hold it against him. But we are not big celebrators of the day. I would support him. You could have a really cool theme because it fell on valentines day.

For those who do a lot on the day, would it run into the evening? Would there still be time for celebration that night? just a thought

I would totally let him go!

I would support him...especially if it was for a good cause. :) To be honest going out on Valentines Day is always frustrating because the restaurants are always packed! I would much rather go out and celebrate the day before or after.

I would say GO!

You can always celebrate V-Day another night... less crowded in the restaurants anyway!

That's a hard one Laura. Keep in mind the people that read your blog are like minded and totally awesome, but what about the general public. Is it at night?
How much participation will you get vs. postponing?

Me, personally, I would be okay with it, but I also read your blog.

on v-day we have a tradition. Our children cook dinner, set the table, watch the little ones, be waiters and pretty much create a romantic night for us. They take care of everything. We don't brave the restaurants, but v-day is very special to the whole family.

I wouldn't care if he decided to go. Although I might give him a hard time that day and he'd have to make it up later. But it's just a day.

Now that we have kids - I wouldn't hold it against him. I suppose BEFORE kids I may have given him a little bit of guff. Maybe. I don't know though - especially since it's for a good cause. And plus we never go out that night anyway....too crowded - which I'm sure other people think, as well.

BTW - I love Jennifer Knapp! Did you know she's from KS? She's got a few other good songs, too.

I would be out there cheering him on. Valentine's Day is what you make it, not what the retailers/restaurants want it to be. Why couldn't you have inexpensive shirts made for the husbands/men and wives/girlfriends that have some type of theme on them.

I would be proud of my husband, quite honestly.

I have to be completely honest here. If my husband wanted to play basketball on the 14th of Feb, not only would I be upset, but I would also have to question why I have a husband in the first place.

Know what I'm sayin?
