Christmas Surprise!!!!

I haven't ever shown this on here...but I thought you'd like a peek at what happened when we surprised the girls with our "Christmas Surprise" last year!

Earlier in the day we had told them we could open one present that night. We knew that if the call came back that we were to leave to go get Hudson, we wouldn't be together as a family for Christmas. We didn't want to tell them what was going on until we knew for certain what the Lord was doing. We opened the one present each, but still no phone call. Matt and I were contemplating what to do...do we let them continue to stay up or do we send them to bed. We didn't want to go ahead and open all of the presents if this wasn't going to happen. It was taking longer than we thought it should (but we really had no clue what to expect) and we were beginning to wonder if this wasn't the baby God had chosen for us. As we were beginning to have them get ready for bed, that is when the phone call from our social worker came telling us of the amazing news that we had a son! We went back into the living room and opened the rest of our gifts. The girls really had no idea why we were opening them all...but they didn't care. We were having so much fun together! After everything was opened...Matt told them our news. This is what happened! :)

Yes...I'm totally on memory lane, and no promises that I'll be getting off anytime soon. :) (you may want to grab a kleenex before hitting play...i'm just warning you!)

So glad the fundraiser is going well.

I can not wait for the day this happens at our house! (except that I don't think the boys will scream quite so much) :)

Thank you for sharing that, it really encouraged me from the slump I'm feeling. We too will get a baby. It WILL happen someday, and when it does there will be no feeling on earth that compares to it.
